A Ride Though Time: Nelsonville

Service Description

Gather a group of friends(1-15 people) and schedule A Ride Through Time Guided Bicycle Tour at your convenience. Participants will enjoy 17.5 miles of the most beautiful back roads in Athens County, while touring historic and natural sites along the way with a historic guide. Local refreshments will be provided and chances to patronize local eateries and shops will be available. The tour will be a non competitive event allowing for ample time to take in the Appalchian scenery and learn more about the rich history. This route will twist through the hills and back roads of the county, participants should anticipate 1,269 feet elevation gain with at 16.9% max grade and some gravel roads. This is a non-supported tour, meaning participants should come prepared with personal bike repair kits and water, helmets are required. Join us for a rich experience of connecting to SouthEast Ohio by cycling through the Appalachian hills, enjoying local foods, and immersing yourself in the history of the region.
